Metro Kolkata

People in Kolkata take the metro a lot. This picture is of the mans side. There's also a special place to sit for woman, handicapped and old people. The next station was Netaji Bhavan metro station. Everybody was in their own 'cellphone world'.

Man at trainstation Bardhaman

This old man we met at the train station of Bardhaman in India, was adopted by a family working on the station. We heard this incredible loving story of the father of the family, he owned the small tea stall at the station.After the old man fell out of a coconut tree he wasn't able to work any more, because he got injured. His family left him because of this reason and he became homeless. We saw this 'new' family took good care of him and were very touched by this story.

Adi Cutting Churi, Santiniketan

While traveling around, we stay at a lot of hospitable people's places. Also we met Adi on our way. Adi was making churi's out of paper. Churi is a traditional wrist ornament, worn mostly by women in the Asian subcontinent. They wear the Churi in daily life or during special occasions.
