Small Waterfall Nagarkot

During our hike in Nepal we walked along a lot of small waterfalls. This water is so fresh, we were so happy to hear that during a hot day. Even though it wasn't raining or snow wasn't melting, the water kept on coming. Due to condense up in the hills. During the recording there came a beautiful bird sitting next to Adil, wanting to be heard on our recording ;) Enjoy.

Finding Shelter Nagarkot

We met this old lady in Nepal, Nagarkot. While we were hiking it started to rain really heavily. We needed to find a place for shelter. Finally we reached a small clay house . Around this house there were chickens, a cow and several goats. There was nobody home when we arrived there. We wondered who the owner was of this place. But we were dry underneath the veranda. Suddenly there arrived a lady who let the cow inside of the clay home; the cow had no shelter  because of the rain (and thunder storm). Then she offered us water.  Which turned out to be ROXY, a local alcoholic drink which is very strong and home made. She told us she was worried about her friend, who was still working outside in the thunder storm. Luckily her friend came back a couple of minutes later. After the rain we went on towards our next destination.

During our stay with the so called 'International Uncle' just outside of  Nagarkot, International Uncle was a international tourist guide before, now he lives just outside of Nagarkot. He organized this event. Local children joined in big amounts. After the workshop they got a free meal.

Microbus Kathmandu

In Kathmandu, Nepal people are moving by micro bus a lot. Especially to move around in Kathmandu, for short distances. We stepped on this micro bus from the White Temple, just outside of Kathmandu, to Swayambhunath  Stupa (Monkey Temple). It is cheap to take a micro bus, compared to taking a cab. Local people use these busses a lot and the busses are impressively full every time.
