πŸ˜‡"The present moment? Fuck the present moment." 😎
.
Do you know that we often tell this to ourselves? Even though we don't even notice it and it is happening unconsciously.
.
It is such a nicer feeling for our minds to dwell in the past or to dream of the future. To escape or distract ourselves with random activities. We completely get sucked in. Which is not weird or stupid at all, but it is just what happens.
.
And yes, sometimes we consciously tell ourselves fuck the present moment. When pain, sickness or suffering becomes 'unbearable' and when we absolutely do not want to go there. When we feel like: 'no, not today'.
.
Where are you on the scale of unconsciously or consciously 'escaping' the present moment?
.
Everything is fine. We are human beings and we can't always all the time 'be in the present moment' and sit completely with the pain, sadness or anger. Especially not in the case of deep trauma. And there is nothing wrong with you when you just can't be present with it.
.
Only you yourself know when you are ready to face the pain or discomfort and sit with it in the present moment. No one else can tell you to appreciate the moment or force you to be present when everything in your body tells you not to go there.
.
Sometimes only taking back your power, acknowledging and accepting the fact that you experience a 'fuck the present moment'-moment is already enough. And you know what? By doing so, you are actually in the present moment. ☺️
.
Enjoy your day.
